Everton midfielder Segundo Castillo comes back into contention after recovering from a hamstring injury. Victor Anichebe is fully fit after a back problem Premier League but Tim Cahill may play up front with Marouane Fellaini recalled. Hull are likely to recall Boaz Myhill, Ian Ashbee, Kamil Zayatte, Nick Barmby and Bernard Mendy after they were rested for last weekend’s FA Cup tie. Anthony Gardner (thigh), Andy Dawson (Achilles) and Caleb Folan (knee) are all close to making a return.

Team News :

Everton (from): Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Lescott, Neville, Arteta, Pienaar, Fellaini, Castillo, Cahill, Anichebe, Nash, Van Der Meyde, Rodwell, Gosling, Jutkiewicz, Kissock.

Hull City (from): Myhill, McShane, Turner, Zayatte, Ricketts, Mendy, Ashbee, Boateng, Barmby, Geovanni, King, Cousin, Garcia, Fagan, Halmosi, Marney, Doyle, Hughes, Giannakopoulos, Duke.

Everton manager David Moyes:
“For a lot of people they have been a surprise package. Their manager Phil Brown has done a really good job.

“At the start of the season it was a surprise, but now it is not. People are looking at Hull and expecting good results from them now.

“Their away form is something we have got to be wary about. They won at Arsenal and have had some other really good results away from home. So you cannot take anything for granted.”

Hull midfielder Dean Marney:
“It has been a difficult period for everyone and from a personal point of view I’ve been disappointed but after a 5-1 defeat (at Manchester City) the manager is always going to make changes.

“But we have come back to where we were at the beginning of the season, working hard and being hard to beat.

“Maybe we got a bit open and teams were exploiting that.”

Venue: Britannia Stadium Date: Saturday, 10 January Kick-off: 1730 GMT

Stoke are set to hand a debut to winger Matthew Etherington after he joined from West Ham for £2m. Richard Cresswell is available again after a ban and Dave Kitson could get another run-out following knee problems as Ricardo Fuller remains banned. Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is set to play in the league for the first time since November after injury.  Liverpool play their first Premier League fixture of 2009, defending a three-point lead at the top of the table. Opponents Stoke famously held Liverpool to a goalless draw at Anfield in September, and would dearly love to claim their 50th league win under Tony Pulis (both spells) in the week of his forthcoming 51st birthday (next Friday). This match pits, the Potters, founder members of the Football League in their first Premier League season, against the Merseysiders, who’ve been ever-presents in this league.

The Reds have scored one more goal away from home (19), than Stoke have managed in total home and away in the Premier League so far this season. Stoke have lost their last four in all competitions; Liverpool are looking for a fourth straight win in league and cup.

News :

Andy Murray is in his best ever form and there are no doubts about that, he realy is stable, more stable than other favourites, top players. Now he will play against Andy Roddick who has defeated the fenchman Gael Monfils in a tough battle and where he has played his tennis. So, there are no doubts about Andy’s form as there is much more about Andy’s great stability at the moment, he shoud use his quality just once again with few downs i his play as he has used to be till now. Murray won yesterday against Roger Federer and again has proved some fantastic tennis and mental force too as always belived that he can win the match, even in some crucial moments. There is a clear difference in quality between these two payers as Andy’s deffensive and smart style create so many problems to anyone of his opponents. Both players will start very motivated, there are no doubts about that and that IMO should be just another advantage for Murray as when it really matters he wins the greater majority of points, I don’t underrate Roddick as he is doing the same thing cause he is a strong mentally but in this case Murray is the favourite.

Murray, Roddick to meet in all-Andy Doha final
Doha, Qatar (Sports Network) - Reigning champion Andy Murray upset former world No. 1 star Roger Federer, while another former top-ranked star, Andy Roddick, outlasted Gael Monfils in Friday’s marquee semifinal action at the ATP World Tour’s season-opening Qatar Open, a $1.11 million Australian Open tune-up.

The third-seeded Murray topped Federer for the fifth time in seven career tries, as the surging Brit came from behind to oust the second-seeded Swiss 6-7 (6-8), 6-2, 6-2. The 13-time major titlist Federer is a two-time Doha champ, with the wins coming back-to-back in 2005 and 2006.

Murray advanced in 2 hours, 4 minutes with the help of four big service breaks, compared to zero for the reigning U.S. Open champ. Both players fired seven aces over three sets of tennis.

The ever-improving Murray lost to Federer in last year’s U.S. Open finale, but the Dunblane, Scotland native is now 5-2 lifetime against the super Swiss, including wins in three straight and five of their last six matchups. Murray also beat Federer in three sets in an unofficial event in Abu Dhabi just last week.

Murray, who beat Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka in last year’s Doha final, will now face the 26-year-old Roddick in Saturday’s title tilt.

The fourth-seeded Roddick snuck past the fifth-seeded Monfils 7-6 (7-1), 3-6, 6-3 on the hardcourts at Khalifa Tennis Complex. The 2008 French Open semifinalist Monfils stunned current world No. 1 Rafael Nadal in straight sets here in Thursday’s quarterfinals.
